ShadoU community terms

Community rules version: 9 October 2026. ShadoU is a sports sharing app. Keep posts, comments, groups and messages respectful and focused on sport, training, activity analysis and encouragement.

Content and behaviour that are prohibited

  • Abusive language, swearing directed at others, harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation.
  • Sexual or sexually explicit content, sexual solicitation or unwanted sexual messages.
  • Racist, discriminatory or hateful content, including attacks based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, disability or sexual orientation.
  • Political opinions, campaigning, propaganda or political advocacy in community discussion.
  • Unsolicited product promotion, advertising, affiliate links, sales pitches or commercial spam in posts, comments, groups or messages. Existing authorised marketplace listings have their own dedicated purpose; ordinary factual discussion of sports equipment is allowed when it is not promotional.
  • Other inappropriate content, including graphic violence, exploitation, doxxing, illegal content, impersonation and malicious spam.
  • False or manipulated activities, stolen recordings, fabricated results or attempts to obtain rewards or rankings dishonestly. Clearly labelled sample activities in the review account do not qualify for rewards or competition.

Filtering, blocking and reporting

Common swear words are replaced with “[removed]” in server-readable community text. Automated word matching is a first layer; it cannot reliably recognise every language, context, image or rule violation. Report anything the filter misses.

You can block another user from Community controls. Blocking hides their community content and prevents new messaging between the accounts. Unblocking does not restore expired pending messages. Blocking does not erase copies already held by another person.

Report a user, activity, post, comment or message and choose the reason. For a suspected false activity, include what looks inconsistent. Do not submit malicious or knowingly false reports. A report is an allegation and requires review; report counts alone do not establish a violation.

Private encrypted messages remain encrypted. The server cannot inspect their text. Sending clients need local filtering. If you choose to report an encrypted message, you may voluntarily share the relevant excerpt with the moderators; no private key is requested. Share only the evidence needed for review.

Enforcement and appeals

Moderators review reports and may hide offending content. A first ordinary confirmed breach normally receives a warning, repeated breaches may lead to a 7-day suspension, further breaches to a 30-day suspension, and continued misconduct to a permanent community ban. Severe threats, hate, exploitation, sexual harassment or deliberate fraud may justify an immediate longer suspension or permanent ban.

A suspension or community ban restricts posting and messaging; it does not confiscate your wallet, prevent access to your own activity history or remove your right to request account deletion. Suspected activity fraud is reviewed separately; a report does not automatically debit rewards. You can submit an appeal through Community controls, and moderators can reverse an incorrect restriction.

Reports and appeals enter a private moderation queue. Review depends on moderator action; ShadoU does not claim automatic decisions or a guaranteed response time. Significant rule changes will require agreement to the updated version before posting or messaging.
